Sound FX

Sound FX is an open exercise which allows you to consider the connotations of words. You will place a series of onomatopoeic words on a scale from 'big' to 'small', 'wet' to 'dry' and 'sweet' to 'sour'. This will help to understand how association and assonance are ways of deciding the meaning of a word.

How it works

• you will need to enter your name, to personalise the game
• the game has two main interaction area, words on the left and the area where you place the words. You can reset or finish the game when you want
• first challenge: you are able to drag the words from the left and arrange them from smallest to biggest. You then click on Next button to start the second challenge
• second challenge: now you are able to drag the words from the left and arrange them from wettest to driest. You then click on Next button to start the third challenge
• third challenge: now you are able to drag the words from the left and arrange them from sourest to sweetest
• once you click on finish button the game display your results, you are able to print your work
