Dictionary or Doom
In this game you'll be deciding which words are "real" words that should go in the dictionary, and which ones aren't "real". While you're doing it, think about what makes a word a "real" word and whether it's easy to decide.
How it works
- there are 12 words all competing for a place in your dictionary. But your dictionary only has space for 6. Each word presents an argument as to why it you should put it in your dictionary
- the game has 5 main interaction areas. These are the 12 words, the vault, the doom chute, your dictionary and the favourite word frame
- you can put 6 words in your dictionary by dragging the word using the mouse
- if you are unsure of any words you can temporarily place any word in the vault
- you able to place words in the doom chute by dragging the word using the mouse. If you place a word in the doom chute you can not use them again
- once you have used up all 12 words, 6 in your dictionary, and the combination of six words in the vault and doom chute, you will be prompted to place your favourite word in the 'my favourite word' frame
- once you click the finish button, the game will now display your favourite word; words in your dictionary; words in your vault and words in the doom chute. You will be able to print your work
